I’m slowly adding more prints to my Etsy shop, including this old favorite:

Haven’t we all been crazy in love at one time or another?

I spent most of a month’s rent on a new printer, and it makes the most beeyootiful prints. A lot of the people who order custom collages from me want prints as well, and I’ve been ordering them from a professional printer. The print quality was great, but there was often a slight color shift from the original, and it bugged me. Now I have complete control!
I also plan on using my new baby to offer prints of past work in my Etsy shop, like this old favorite:
twilight and filigree

Elizabeth, one of my bestest friends and sometime-models, has opened her own Etsy store: Twilight and Filigree. Her work is amazing and dreamy, and very well-made.

I have a book that she made. It’s beyond gorgeous, and travels all over with me without showing any wear.
something old, something blue

This is a piece that stylistically recalls the work i was doing several years ago, but technically is very much about what I’m doing now.

Two of my favorite plants, one of my favorite stores. If you’re in the Portland OR area, it’s on NE Fremont near 14th. And they’re now carrying pieces from my Illuminations series.
Check out the Poppy and Ivy blog here. I seriously cannot leave this place without buying something.

Today I reorganized my closets. I found a lot of things I’d been wanting to get my hands on, and a lot of things I don’t really want, but inexplicably can’t get rid of. That’s the worst part of being a collage artist- you can’t throw anything away, because anything could be useful for art! I’m not going to show you my closets, but here’s a picture of what I’m ready to do now- kick back and eat junk food!

It’s June! And it won’t stop raining! I want to take pictures of pretty girls in the sunshine!

I’ve been drooling over this baby for weeks, and today I made it mine.

I got my first rolls from the Diana+ back, and so far I’m disappointed. It cost twice as much as my Holga, and it seems to be about half as good. Maybe I got a lemon? I’ll have to do some research. I love a few of the pictures, like this one:
but you see that whitish splodge in the upper corner? I don’t know what it is- not my finger, I swear!- but in a lot of the frames, it spreads out to cover half the picture. Not pretty.

Mapping the human heart…

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the vagaries and uncharted territories of our hearts.
